Certified Home Health Aides from ANG Health Care
What is a Certified Home Health Aide?
Life changes following a long-term illness, surgery, or accident, and those changes can profoundly alter the way we live. Many individuals require professional medical care. Families often rely on long-term care facilities to ensure the ones they love receive the medical care they need. Unfortunately, when medical care isn’t the main concern, this may not be necessary. Far too many times, a family makes a decision to place a loved one in a long-term care facility because they believe it’s the only option available.
Many individuals don’t require medical care. Their current condition might make it difficult for them to perform some necessary day-to-day living activities without assistance, but their physical condition doesn’t preclude them from enjoying a life of independence in their own home.
When a loved one simply needs a little help, there’s no reason they can’t continue to live independently.
A Certified Home Health Aide makes it possible for you to remain in your own home by providing these important services and assistance.
The Certified Home Health Aides at ANG Health Care deliver care with compassion, providing the help your loved one needs while allowing them to live a life of independence. They understand how important it is to help those we serve maintain their dignity and self worth. These compassionate professionals offer help without ‘taking over’. Whether they’re helping your loved one while in a transitional facility or at your home, we always remember that we’re simply here to help!
Professionalism You Can Trust
ANG Health Care partners with case managers, patients and their family members throughout Sacramento, Amado, Placer and El Dorado Counties to provide assistance during transition from acute care to home. ANG is licensed by the California Department of Public Health Services and certified by the Center of Medicare and Medicaid.
Although a Certified Home Health Aide doesn’t provide skilled medical services, they do undergo a stringent training program approved by the California Department of Public Health. They also must meet the CDPH’s requirement for clinical hours. Certified Home Health Aides must obtain criminal record clearance before obtaining formal certification from and registering with the CDPH.
In order to maintain certification, Home Health Aides must renew every two years AND receive a fresh criminal record clearance.
ANG Health Care goes beyond meeting all the requirements of the CDPH. In addition to state required criminal record clearance requirements, we also conduct intensive background checks and thoroughly verify all references.
Every 14 days we conduct in-the-field supervisory visits of our Home Health Aides, ensuring that their patients are receiving all the care and assistance they need. Equally important to us is that the aide and the patient get along. Even the best care is hard to accept from someone you don’t like, and not every personality meshes. That’s why ANG Health Care works so diligently to match the right aide with the right patient.
